See which servers accept email for a domain, in priority order, plus SPF and DMARC.
An MX lookup lists the mail exchangers for a domain. The lowest number is tried first. If that host is down, senders move to the next one.
No MX record means mail falls back to the domain’s A record, which is rarely what you want. After the MX list, this page also shows SPF and DMARC so you can see whether those servers are allowed to send.
It names the servers that receive email for the domain, with a priority. Lower numbers are preferred.
Extra rows are backups. Senders use the lowest priority first and try the others if it does not answer.
No. Mail and the website often live on different servers. MX and the A record do not have to match.
