Work at OTA Cloud as Hosting Systems Engineer
Remote / hybrid
We run shared hosting, reseller, WordPress, and VPS on modern NVMe infrastructure. This role keeps those boxes healthy and the provision path boring.
You will work on panel servers, monitoring, and the occasional 3 a.m. DNS mystery — with a team that prefers runbooks over heroics.
Responsibilities
- Operate and harden hosting panel servers (capacity, updates, backups, TLS)
- Investigate provision failures, mail delivery, and noisy neighbor cases
- Keep monitoring honest: probes, alerts, and post-incident notes
- Help support with the tickets that are actually a systems problem
- Document how we deploy, suspend, and recover customer services
Skills
- Linux administration you can defend in production
- Experience with a hosting control panel and DNS at scale
- Networking basics: firewalls, reverse proxies, mail, TLS
- Written English for runbooks and customer-facing incident notes

- Prefers preventing the 3 a.m. page over looking busy
- Clear under incident pressure
- Willing to say no to unsafe shortcuts
- Comfortable pairing with support and billing, not only other engineers
